What would it be like if you were able to have your ultimate personal development coach available all the time? Think of it – Tony Robbins, Robin Sharma, Brene Brown – what if they were with you 24/7 to help you work out the kinks in your business and sand down your rough edges? Would you like that? How far would you be able to grow and go if that were true?

We are here to tell you that there’s no question that all of those people are great – but if you are one half of an entrepreneurial couple, you already have a personal development coach who is better than any of those people. It’s your partner.

We are Ray and Christy and we have been working together in business since 2011. We’ve run 3 businesses together and have decided to create our podcast – Both On Board – because of the sheer joy we’ve found in working together. We hope you’ll join us to hear our lessons learned, how we create a thriving life as an entrepreneurial couple, and more.

Your partner really IS your ultimate personal development coach and tool

It’s true – your partner has the potential to be your ultimate personal development tool. Why? Because they know you better than anyone else. They are able to see your strengths and encourage you in them – and they notice your areas of weakness and encourage you in those as well.

They are also able to provide a level of accountability like nobody else when it comes to your business pursuits. So let them. You’ll be at the top of your game more often if you work together to keep each other on track.

As you move forward together, you’ll find yourself moving forward faster – but only IF you learn how to work together in a healthy and productive way. On this podcast, we’ll be sharing the tools, techniques, and tips we’ve learned to take your life, business, and relationship to the next level.

Our 3 C framework helps us stay on track as a business couple

Working together we’ve found great joy – but it’s not without its challenges. There are many areas where we experience the potential for conflict, disagreement, and even stepping on each others’ toes. How do we avoid those things? Not perfectly, that’s for sure – but we have developed what we call our “3 C Framework.” It’s a way for us to focus on the three areas that help us stay aligned with each other…

  • Clarity
  • Collaboration
  • Commitment

In this episode, we introduce you to the basic concept behind each of these “C”s and give you a taste of how we’ll use those concepts in the episodes to come. Take the time to listen now!

Why couples can be the best accountability and encouragement for each other

Of all the people in the world, we know that WE are each others’ greatest fan. That’s a benefit that we want to take advantage of. Nobody will care as we do. Nobody else will be willing to speak the encouragement we need when we need it or the hard truth we need to hear as each of us will for the other. Of course, we have to express compassion and care as we do, and we’re happy to do that for each other, but we care too much about each other to let things stay as they are. We want to grow and we want growth for each other.

That’s why couples are the best accountability and encouragement for each other. When you apply that truth to business, you’re looking at an unbeatable team. We are each other’s’ best personal development coach and fan – all rolled into one.

We invite you to listen to this episode. You’ll hear our hearts for business, our hearts for each other, and our desire to help you make the most of your business and relational partnership. And you’ll get a taste of all the good things to come.
