Overcome obstacles by exposing your weaknesses

75Hard has pushed us to unexpected levels. Instead of the physical struggles that we’ve expected, our struggles have been emotional. It’s been internal. Overcoming the internal chatter that is what strengthens you. No one is forcing us to do this. We don’t have to do this. But we are choosing to do this.

And you know what? I am going to find a way to make this happen no matter what.

Feelings are temporary, right? 75Hard is bringing out struggles in each of us but we know why we’re doing this and we know we can overcome the temporary struggles. We didn’t start 75Hard to stay the same. We welcome the struggles, the change, and growth. We want to show up to this life at a higher level. What is your why?

You show up for what you prioritize

Everyone always asks “how do you find the time to fit that into your schedule?”. We have the same amount of time as everyone else. The difference is we make our priorities fit the time that we have. We make time for 75Hard, and our business, and our family because they are important to us. We are pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones.

There is a cost to comfort: You are not growing or expanding.

Time is never an issue. We don’t delay our priorities. We face them head-on, and show up mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We are learning to be intentional about everything we do. You must decide, commit, and remove time from the equation. You must take back your time and make it work for you.

Remember the rain doesn’t last forever

It’s been a rainy few days in Florida. We’ve had some rainy outdoor walks but spend our days believing God will open a window of time so we won’t get poured on. The opportunity will come—it won’t rain forever. So it is in our personal lives. We all go through similar issues and struggles. But they don’t last forever.

Don’t waste time being a victim. Things happen, but they don’t happen to you. You and only you are responsible for how you react. So show up with the belief that you can take on anything and everything that comes your way.

Create a life you don’t desire to escape

We all have ways that we try to escape life.

Watching TV, scrolling on social media, YouTube videos, drinking alcohol, etc. The list goes on and on. We think these temporary escapes will be freeing. Instead, we often feel drained and guilty for wasting our time.

It’s time to bring awareness to what we do to escape. Where do you devote your time?

Replace it with practices that put you in a better place. Read a book. Go for a walk. Time is emotion, and what we choose to focus on matters. Talk about what your priorities are, and support each other when you’re not at 100%.

Accountability, support, and understanding are key to overcoming the hurdles you face. Listen to the whole episode as we share our struggles, challenges, and wins together.
